Job Description: We are currently seeking highly skilled and experienced Locum or Relief Pharmacists to join our team. As a Locum or Relief Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in providing temporary coverage for pharmacies that require staffing support. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safe and effective dispensing of medications while delivering excellent pharmaceutical care to patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly review prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness, offering consultation and guidance to patients.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, physicians, and other stakeholders as necessary.
- Adapt quickly to different pharmacy environments, systems, and procedures.
- Execute processes according to OBWs/SOPs.
- Fulfill administrative responsibilities for the store.
- Maintain a professional setting for retail and community outreach.
- Foster a compassionate environment and provide support to patients.
- Uphold patient confidentiality and privacy.
- Cultivate a professional and collaborative relationship among healthcare professionals, responding to requests and building rapport.
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping.
- Adhere to quality assurance standards and actively participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
- Perform clinical and drug distribution responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
- Hold a current and valid pharmacy license in the province of practice.
- Demonstrate proven experience as a pharmacist, preferably with previous locum or relief experience.
- Possess a strong knowledge of pharmaceutical principles, drug therapy, and pharmacy operations.
- Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, establishing rapport with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Proficiently navigate pharmacy management software and computer systems.
- Show attention to detail, emphasizing accuracy and adherence to regulations and protocols.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and effectively handle multiple responsibilities.
- Display flexibility and adaptability to work in different pharmacy environments and schedules.
